About Michael Mirabella

For more than 40 years, Michael Mirabella has practiced insurance-related litigation in Colorado. His work has centered on insurance defense, complex and commercial litigation and insurance coverage, and he has also represented plaintiffs in personal injury cases. That dual experience is rare, and it is what makes his work as a mediator effective: he understands how each side builds a case, because he has built both.

He has tried bodily injury cases to juries. He has handled contract and financing disputes, defended automobile dealerships, and worked on professional malpractice claims involving accountants, engineers, pharmacists, and real estate professionals. His cases have also included fraud matters, car accidents, premises liability, product liability, asbestos and construction litigation, and accidents involving construction sites, trucking, and oil and gas wells.

Insurance coverage has been a constant thread throughout. Michael has handled uninsured motorist arbitration, no-fault coverage disputes, and coverage cases between insurers and their policyholders. When a mediation comes down to policy language, he already knows it well.

Today Michael serves as a mediator, arbitrator, and special master while continuing to practice law in Denver. He holds the AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has completed 40 hours of intensive mediation training. He is a member of the Denver and Colorado bar associations.
